Julia was a kind soul.
I sat next to her in Big Bang to Humankind class. I would complain about my "struggles" as a freshman, and in all her 'sophomore wisdom' she would just pour and pour and pour reassurance and kindness into me. Despite me being in a dark, somewhat delusional, place that semester, Julia always had some tidbit to pull me out of it. She'd always say something that would make me think, alright, she's right, maybe this isn't the end of the world!
And it sticks out to me because she didn't have to do that for me at all! Our school lost an angel among us.
Rest easy, Julia.

Dear Tolu and Charles,
I am so sorry for your loss. I was Julia's physics professor, in the spring 2023. She was a regular at my help hours, so I got to know her better than I do most students in a large lecture class. It was such a pleasure, and she had such a wonderful spirit and ability for physics that I recruited her to work with me as a Learning Assistant for the next time I taught that course, this last spring. I loved her attitude, the way she always seemed just a little amused by what was going on, that smile in her eyes, at first over the mask for covid and then on her full face.
I was so glad she gave me the chance to recommend her for the HSL fellowship. I was even more glad this fall, when we she told me about her interest in physics. She was thinking about pursuing a minor, and I helped her pick classes for the spring semester in that direction.
I will miss her, and I can only imagine what it must be like for you and your family. But I also imagine that the parents of such a beautiful person must have deep wells of strength.
Yours with deep condolences,
David Hammer

Julia had such a great sense of humor, she was so sweet and kind-hearted. She would always show up to her 2-8 shift 10 min early, so we all met in the break room during our lunch break. She loved to laugh and joke around. We had cookies around Christmas and I said please take as many as you want!! And she said oh I can't im allergic, my throat will close up. And our pharmacist said oh okay please don't eat the cookies then.
We all were laughing so hard. We will miss you Julia. I didn't know you outside of work, but you will be remembered always

The Milton High School Girls Soccer Program is devastated by the loss of our teammate, and dear friend, Julia. She wholeheartedly dedicated herself to the entire Milton soccer community and her teammates for many years. For her positive impact, she received the 2021 Coach´s Award.
On the field, Julia was known for outrunning some of the best players in the league and scoring goals. But it was her character - and famous dance moves - that landed her a special place in everyone´s heart. With her infectious smile and great sense of humor, Julia´s presence left little room for dull moments. On and off the field she was truly a light as a loyal friend, as a mega fan for the freshman soccer team, and as a brilliant classmate. She was the very best at uplifting others. Her kind nature is a testament to her family, to whom we send the deepest condolences.
Julia was one of the most genuine, kind, and beloved people our program ever had the gift of knowing. We look back on her life with joy and gratitude for the precious time we were able to spend with her, and we will miss her greatly. We send our love to everyone who knew Julia.

Julia has always been a ray of sunshine in my life. Julia and I had first met in elementary school, playing soccer alongside each other. I remember being in awe of how amazing of a teammate she was: Not only was she a talented soccer player, but she always made an effort to make everyone feel included and would brighten any space she entered with her warm smile and witty humor. I even remember bragging to anyone who would listen about how amazing of a teammate and person my new friend Julia was. Although we were not soccer teammates for long, Julia remained to be one of the most genuinely kind, caring, and hilarious people I knew. She made me look forward to every class, meeting, and extracurricular activity that we shared. Words cannot describe how heart-broken I am by this tragedy. I am forever thankful to have known Julia and feel immensely lucky to have the honor of calling her my friend.

I was heartbroken to hear about Julia´s passing. Though the time our daughters spent together at Delphi was brief, it was clear to me that knowing Julia was like knowing an angel. She was such a sweet, kind-hearted young woman, a reflection of the love and care she received from two amazing parents.
Please know that your family is in our thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time. Julia´s warmth and spirit touched so many, and she will be deeply missed.
With heartfelt condolences,

She was always such a joy to be around; one of the funniest people I knew. I cherish the few years and many memories we´ve had together in college, and send my deepest condolences to all family and friends. One of my favorite memories with Julia was a when our friends celebrated our birthdays together in the dorm sophomore year. I´ll never forget wishing on our secret candles (dorm rules) for another great year around the sun. Rest in peace Julia- you will be missed more than words can express.

I am so sorry to hear of Julia´s death. I knew of her from my son-in-law, Michael Fergus. I can only hope that she now rests in peace with the full knowledge of how much you loved her. May you know that your memories of her will never diminish but your grief, very gradually and after many years, will soften. Judy hamer
