Julia "Jewel" M. (Graham) Roberto Rocco, 92, formerly of Springfield, PA, and most recently a resident of Riddle Village in Media, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on November 7, 2025.
Jewel began her career at Sun Oil Company before devoting herself to raising her family. In her early years, she also owned a small stained-glass business, reflecting her lifelong creativity and eye for beauty. Later, she worked at the Navy Yard, was a Librarian, and worked at various retail jobs, where her friendly nature and warm smile touched everyone she met.
A creative soul, Jewel loved decorating her home for the holidays, painting, gardening, and engaging in arts and crafts. She was known for her beautifully decorated home and her boundless enthusiasm for celebrating life's special moments. Jewel also shared her artistic talents with her parish, creating props for many St. Francis Players productions, a contribution that brought her great joy and laughter through the years. More than anything, she cherished time spent with her family. She looked forward to every holiday and the family's treasured annual vacation in Sea Isle City, NJ, where laughter and memories were made.
Jewel was the heart and soul of her family, a beloved wife, devoted mother and cherished Me-mom of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She served for many years as a Girl Scout leader, sharing her kindness, creativity, and leadership with others. She also had numerous social circles, including her beloved bowling and card groups, and most recently, the many dear friends she made at Riddle Village.
She was the daughter of the late Ella M. and Jack Graham, and was preceded in death by her first husband, Edmund C. Roberto
Those who will forever hold her in their hearts include: Her beloved husband, Edmund Rocco, her devoted children, Clare Maloney(Steve), Suzanne Fahey(Jim), and her loving grandchildren, Jennifer Daberkoe(Andy), Brittany Fahey, Edmund Maloney(Laura), Danielle Fahey, and Kristen Dinges(Zach) and her Great Grand-children, Jeffrey, Samuel, Raegan, Lucy, and Isabella and her Nephews, Gus(Rosemary) and John(Mary) Roberto, and all of her dear friends whom she loved deeply and enjoyed spending time with throughout the years.
Jewel will be remembered for her compassion, warmth, generosity, creativity and the joy she brought to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her radiant presence will be terribly missed, leaving a gaping hole in the hearts of her family and friends.
Everyone called her Jewel- a name that fits her perfectly. She added sparkle and joy to everything she touched. In her honor, the family invites everyone to celebrate her memory by adding a little extra sparkle – in what you wear, in your smile, or in the kindness you share with others- and of course, by enjoying a little chocolate. She would have insisted, because everything is better with a touch of sparkle and something sweet.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff and friends at Riddle Village and Monticello for their compassion, friendship and care.
Relatives and family are invited to her Visitation on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 9:30 to 10:30 am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 136 Saxer Avenue, Springfield, Pa 19064, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30am. Interment will follow at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jewel's memory may me made to "The Poor Clares Monastery", 1271 Langhorne-Newtown Rd, Langhorne, PA19407

My name is Rita Tucker, and I was Jewels bowling partner along with Liz Mongan. Jewel was a "JEWEL! She was the most kind and giving person to everyone. She was loved by all her bowling friends, and she will be greatly missed. May she rest with our Lord, and I hope that there is a bowling alley in heaven where I know she is, and that she will bowl a 300 game. May God bless Ed and her family. I will miss her!
