Julia Kathleen Thompson, age 68, of Wausau, passed away December 29, 2025.
Julie was born on October 4, 1957 in Frankfurt, Germany to Irene (Arrowood) Thompson and the late Robert Thompson, Jr.
She grew up in Oaklawn, IL and Plantation, FL then went on to graduate from Cumberland College in Kentucky with degrees in biology and chemistry. Julia lived in Oakridge, TN and most recently resided in Wausau for many years.
Survivors in addition to her mother Irene of Ocala, FL include a sister Patricia (Earl) Quick of San Antonio, TX, 3 nieces: Emily, Elizabeth, and Ellie, a great niece Isabella and 4 great nephews: Tobias, Noah, Lucas and Liam. She is also survived by many cousins, aunts, and uncles.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 13 at 11:00 AM at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the service at the funeral home. Reverend Earl Quick will officiate. Interment will be in Bent Cemetery in Bryant.
