Julian Almodova Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by San Tan Mountain View Funeral Home and Advance Planning Center on Jun. 8, 2023.
Julian Almodova, 76, of Queen Creek, Arizona, passed away on April 26, 2023, at Mercy Gilbert Hospital, Gilbert, Arizona.
Julian was born on February 16, 1947, to Francisco and Natividad in San Simon, Arizona. After Julian graduated from Bowie High School in 1964, he attended Cochise College in Douglas, Arizona and enlisted in the US Air Force to serve our country in 1966.
Two years after entering the Air Force, Julian met Marion with whom he would fall in love and marry in 1968 at Hamilton Air Force Base, California. Julian would later say that the reason he had a great marriage was because he married his Best Friend. They were married for 54 years at the time of his death. Julian and Marion had two sons, Michael and Alexander Almodova and the 'Light of his Life,' granddaughter Vivienne Almodova, all who currently reside in Northern California.
After 20 years of service in the Air Force living across the country and in Germany, Julian retired as a Tech Sergeant in 1988. He and Marion built a home in California City, California. A few months later, Julian was hired by British Aerospace Engineering (BAE) where he worked another 15 years. In 2004 he was hired as a federal employee at Edwards Air Force Base where he spent another 9 years doing what he loved the most, working on aircraft electronic and radio systems. Julian permanently retired in 2013 and they moved to Queen Creek in 2019.
Julian was preceded in death by his father Francisco Almodova; mother, Natividad Almodova; brother, Raymond Almodova; sister, Josephine Beall; brother, Henry Almodova; brother, Luis Almodova; his mother-in-law, Hilde Concepcion and father-in-law, Skippy Concepcion. He is survived by his wife, Marion; sons, Michael and Alexander; granddaughter, Vivienne Almodova; his brother, Francisco Almodova Jr; and sisters, Bertha Almodova and Martha Westberry.
Julian's generosity and great sense of humor will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Services will be held at San Tan Mountain View Funeral Home, Queen Creek, Arizona on June 23, 2023 at 1:30 p.m.
