Julian Martinez July 14, 2004-January 21, 2023. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of dearest Julian Martinez who passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2023. Julian was the first and only son to Erica Martinez and George Sanchez born on July 14, 2004 in Scottsbluff. The family later settled in Lincoln where Julian spent his childhood. Julian attended Lincoln Public Schools and worked at the Knolls Retirement Center where he found his passion in life in helping and working with the elderly. His kindness and beautiful contagious smile brought comfort to the residents. Because of his passion for the residents, he considered nursing as his career path. Julian cherished his younger sisters Laiah and Jenevieve and his two nephews Kayden and Carson. He loved to play video games and roughhouse with them. He looked up to his oldest sister Jessica as his role model. Her tenderness and motherly role was a bond that they both cherished immensely. Julian shared his life and love with his girlfriend Kayla and his best friend and roommate Eddy and numerous cousins and family. A viewing will be held on January 26, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary immediately following at 7:00 p.m. A service will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Lincoln Family Funeral Care, 5849 Fremont Street, Lincoln, NE., 68507 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor DeeJay Burton, burial will follow at Wyuka Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with his grandmother Mary Sanchez. Julian is preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Hope Martinez, Mary Sanchez, Henry Mendoza, and numerous aunts and uncles. Survivors include his parents Erica Martinez and George Sanchez, sisters, Laiah, and Genevieve and Mrs. Jessica, Kelvin, Kayden and Carson Nguyen. And numerous aunts uncles and cousins.
