Julie Joleen Basgall

Julie Joleen Basgall (Jody) passed away on December 8th, 2025. Jody was born September 8th, 1963, in Prosser WA.
Jody worked as a talented florist before she became a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She was a multifaceted crafts woman that was recognized for her artistic abilities from wood working to painting and was once recognized with a notarized document of authenticity for a one-of-a-kind handmade Pendleton Wool artifact.
Jody loved to spend time in her garden, taking care of her plants and dotting over her chickens. She grew incredible vegetables that she proudly shared with family, friends and neighbors, but one of her favorite ways to share her love was with the gift of plants! Jody loved starting new plants that she gave to everyone to enjoy. It truly was one of her love languages- sharing beauty she cultivated by hand and with love.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Paula Wortheam; brother, Darren Heintz; great nephew Tahner Heintz; Uncle Jerome Heintz; and Aunt, Rosie Heintz.
She was survived by her husband, Michael Wayne Basgall; father, Julis Heintz; step mother Barbara Heintz; daughter, Amanda Butterfield; son-in-law, Jeremy Butterfield; granddaughter, Loreli Butterfield; son, Chauncey Jorgensen; daughter-in-law, Holly Jorgenson; granddaughter, Savannah Jorgensen; grandson, Peyton Jorgenson; nephew, Zachary Heintz; niece, Karlie Heintz; and great nephew, Skyler Heintz.
A Viewing will be held on December 16th, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Brookside Funeral Home in Moxee.
Burial services will take place on January 9, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Terrace Heights Memorial Park.
Jody was the pillar of her family and loved by many. The world is not the same without her and she will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
