Julie Regina Brown, 59 of Louisville, passed away on October 23, 2025. Services will be Wednesday, November 12, 2025 beginning with visitation at 10 am and funeral service to follow at 12 noon at First Virginia Avenue Baptist Church, 3601 Virginia Avenue. Interment will be in Green Meadows Cemetery.

Julie was born January 22, 1966, to the late Marjorie Brown Clark and Robert Baker. She confessed hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized at First Virginia Avenue Missionary Baptist Church. She attended Sunday School, was a Youth Usher, and a member of the Youth Choir. She united with St Stephens Church and returned home and was reinstated by letter under the pastorate of Rev. Charles H Duncan, Sr. on December 17, 2017. Julie loved the Lord and enjoyed worship service.

Julie was a graduate of Louisville Male High School. After graduation she began working in the medical field and insurance dept with Humana. She attended Indiana Weslyn College and earned a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice. She then began a career in 2016 as part of an Administrative Office of the Courts to assist with an accounting conversion project. She enjoyed the environment and applied and became a full-time member with the Office of the Circuit Court as a Bench Clerk for the Honorable Judge Ann Bailey Smith- Division 13. She displayed hard work and dedication. She was instrumental part of the team, conscientious worker, and a friend to all who knew her. She was admired and loved by her co-workers. She valued education and was in the process of getting her Masters Degree in Criminal Justice.

Julie was valued as a friend to many. Her beautiful and kind spirit was a quality that only she possessed. She loved her family and everyone she met became a part of that family. Nothing made her happier than singing gospel music, praising God in song and playing the keyboard. She sang with several groups including the Kentuckiana Chapter of GMWA, St. Stephens Choir, Light of the World Christian Church and Shana Marshall and Lateral Praise of Indianapolis. Julie enjoyed sports, football especially. Traveling and reading were her hobbies. Julie was a kind and loving person. She exemplified kindness, never met a stranger and always wore a smile. Her spirit has rolled into the arms of Jesus.

Julie was Preceded in death by her parents and a brother Richard Maurice Brown. She leaves to cherish her memory; brother, Michael Brown; a Christian friend and sister, Eileen Little; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, great-great nephews, cousins, and friends.

Psalm 100:5 "For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations."
