Julie Dugan Obituary

Julie Boatner Dugan of Marietta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2025, surrounded by loved ones after a long illness.

A graduate of North Cobb High School and Kennesaw State University, Julie excelled as a multi-sport athlete, musician, and dedicated volunteer with the Cobb Stingrays USA Swim Club. She built a distinguished career in banking and human resources, retiring as a vice president at IPS-Sendero/Fiserv.

Julie is survived by her husband of 34 years, Donald W. Dugan; her sons Ryan Christopher Dugan (m. Julie D.) and Michael Thomas Dugan (m. Silvya V. Pinzaru); her granddaughter Peyton Grace Dugan - with two more grandchildren expected this year (!) ; her sister Elizabeth B. Stow (m. Tom) and brother John Michael Boatner (m. Laura); her nephews James B. Stow, Corey M. Boatner, Thomas G. Stow; her niece Meredith L. Shnitzer (m. Alex); and her great-nephews Noah M. and Caleb S. Schnitzer.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, January 10, 2025, at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, followed by a reception.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Cobb County.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. While we didn't know Julie directly we too know the pain of loss of family and wish you our sincere condolences.
