Julie Pawlak Obituary

Julie Pawlak, 82, passed away Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026.

Born and raised in Chicago, Julie carried her love for family and community with her throughout her life. She later moved to Minnesota, where she and her husband fulfilled a dream, moving to Hackensack and Man Lake where she had visited year after year since she was a child. They owned and managed the Sun n Fun for many years.

Julie had a passion for animals and a lifelong love of learning, never hesitating to share her knowledge, opinions and lively conversations with those around her. She was endlessly creative and found joy in crafts of all kinds, including sewing, knitting, crochet, needlepoint and painting. She especially enjoyed cards and board games with her granddaughters, where many laughs were shared.

Julie cherished her family. She adored her grandchildren and took great pride in keeping close ties with family and friends, including lifelong connections from her school years in Chicago. She was also proud of her Swedish heritage and her involvement with the Civil Air Patrol.

Julie was preceded in death by her daughter, Pam, and her brother, Danny (Bunny). She is survived by her loving husband, Ron; her son, Bob (Betsy); and her beloved granddaughters, Emma and Grace, who brought her immense joy.

Julie will be remembered for her creativity, her strong spirit, her love of family and the many lives she touched through friendship, conversation and care.
