Julie A. "Julie Bean" Pries, 59, of Lyndonville, NY, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 3, 2025, at the Batavia Memorial Hospital.

Born on February 20, 1966, in Rochester, NY, she was the daughter of the late Donald E. and Margaret E. (Shanley) Shade.

Julie graduated from Roy Hart High School in 1986. She worked various jobs and was currently working for H.H. Dobbin's in Lyndonville, NY. She was baptized and attended the former First Baptist Church in Medina, NY. Julie enjoyed kayaking and anything related to water. She enjoyed traveling and once went to Hawaii, where she learned to hula dance. In her spare time, she tended to her vegetable and flower garden.

Julie is survived by her husband, William Pries, two children, Emily (Lance Gardener) Pries of Ransomville, NY, and Jarett Pries of Lyndonville, NY, two grandchildren, Lance and Waylon Gardener, seven siblings, Robin (Chuck) Watson of Batavia, NY, Krissy (Todd) Beyer of Middleport, NY, Robert (Ebie) VanDorn of Pavillion, NY, Kathy (David) Shade of Medina, NY, Marchal (Kathy) VanDorn of Pennsylvania, Becky (Barry) Christie of Warsaw, NY, and Kimmy (Dan) Connely of Dundee, NY. Also surviving are many sisters-in-law, brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Besides her parents, Julie was predeceased by her son, Justin, mother-in-law, Grace, and a step-mother, Cindy Shade.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, October 10, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Bogan & Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St., Medina, NY 14103, where a memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM. Burial will be private for the family.

Instead of flowers, memorials may be made in Julie's name to any Hospice organization of one's choice.
