Mrs. Julie Ellen Stowell Puckett, age 72, of Chapel Hill, TN, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026. Julia was born in Georgetown, OH to the late Jack Junior Stowell and Gladys Gloria Henderson Stowell. She was preceded in death by a brother Michael Stowell. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.
Julie was a wonderful lady. She could be found making great food in the kitchen, such as her Lasagna. She loved hard and was always willing to greet you with a smile. Julie was a coach for her children having coached softball and soccer. You could always find her with her family and being an encouraging grandmother. Julie travelled many miles watching all her grandchildren play sports. She enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Red’s play ball and cheering them on. Most of all, she loved the role of being a wife, mother, and grandmother. There was never a moment that she didn’t brag about all of her family. She truly loved hard and big.
Julie is survived by her loving husband of 50 years Mr. John Puckett of Chapel Hill, TN; 3 children, John Robert Puckett of Chapel Hill, TN, Kelly (J-Bird) Mealer of Chapel Hill, TN, and Gary Steven Puckett of Spring Hill, TN; 6 grandchildren, Brennan Mealer, Paxton Mealer, Knox Puckett, Reed Puckett, Jack Puckett, and Adalyn Mealer; 3 brothers, Terry Stowell of Florida, Gary Stowell and Joe Stowell of Ohio; several nieces and nephews as well as her beloved animals Blue and Penny.
Visitation with the Puckett Family will be Wednesday, January 28, 2026 from 11AM until 12 Noon from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place at 12 Noon with burial to follow in Swanson Cemetery
