Julie Anne Smith, born on July 7, 1980, in Carrollton, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025. Julie's life was a tapestry woven with love for her family and a boundless spirit that touched everyone she met.
Julie was currently working for Watco in Ghent, KY, as a driver.
She is survived by her husband, Christopher "Chris" Smith.
Julie cherished her role as a loving mother to her daughters, Sarah (Jacob) Kelley, Katherine Smith, and Amber Smith. Additionally, she was a proud mother to her son, Robert Brierly. Her children were her pride and joy, and she often found happiness in their laughter and accomplishments.
Julie was a beloved daughter to Robert and Martha Frazier, and a treasured sister to Janet Higgins and Mary Frazier, along with her brothers, Jon Beach, Billy Mertz, Ricky Beach, Dustin Wiley, grandson Levi Thomas Kelley, and several nieces and nephews. She shared many cherished memories with her family, who will continue to honor her legacy of kindness and joy.
A special mention is reserved for her late sister, Linda Phillips, whose memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
With a zest for life, Julie enjoyed an array of hobbies that showcased her vibrant personality. She found great delight in watching Netflix, crafting, fishing, and yard sailing with her beloved "Nan." Furthermore, her passion for coloring provided her with a peaceful retreat, where she could unwind and express her creativity. Julie had a fondness for her favorite Mountain Dew and cigarettes, almost as iconic as her infectious laughter.
Her Celebration of Life will take place on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at the American Legion Post 41 located at 117 5th St, Carrollton, KY, with services starting at 1:00 PM and concluding at 5:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to join together to honor Julie’s life, sharing stories and memories that reflect the love and light she brought into the world.
Julie Anne Smith's spirit will forever be remembered through the love she gave to her family and friends, a legacy that will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have known her.
