Julie Anne Weldon passed from this life on June 2, 2025, at the age of 75, at her home in Calimesa, California.
Julie was born on December 17, 1949, in San Francisco. Julie was the daughter of Edwin Cox, II, and Lillian (Leonard) Alves. Julie grew up and attended school in Bloomington, California, where she graduated with the Class of 1967. Following high school, Julie resided in California, Texas, and Colorado before returning to California. Julie was later united in marriage to Earl Ray Weldon, Sr., on April 4, 1981, and established their initial home in Bloomington before relocating to Calimesa, where she continued to reside. Julie worked at Target and San Bernardino Hospital for several years before her twin daughters were born. Julie returned to school after her children were grown and obtained her Associate's Degree in Sociology in 2014.
Julie loved making clothes and blankets for her girls and family. In 2017, Julie and Earl took a trip to Maine, during which they visited the Elvis Mansion. Trips to San Diego were always memorable times. Binge watched the Hallmark Channel frequently while searching for the best steakhouse. Julie was a mother figure to many of her daughter's friends, as well as several other family members and friends.
Survivors are three daughters Jolyn Weldon of Calimesa, California, Julianne Weldon of Calimesa, California, Kenya Pece of Moore, Oklahoma; one son Earl Weldon Jr.; siblings John Cox, Edwin Cox, III, Toni Alves, Joe Alves, Ginger Alves, four grandchildren Micha, Joshua, Taylor Dawn, Christopher James and a host of other relatives and friends that will mourn his passing. Julie was preceded in death by her mother, Lillian Alves; Edwin Cox, II; her husband, Earl Weldon, Sr.; and two siblings, Kathleen Blalock and Duke Alves.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, June 16, 2025. The burial will be held at the Woodland Cemetery in Cleveland, Oklahoma. Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements. Friends and family may visit an online guest book and memorial page for Julie at www.chapman-black.com.
