Julie Ann Wright

Julie Ann Wright, born April 29, 1962 at Newport Beach, CA. Julie was the first grandchild on her mother 's side and was born on her grandmother Wright's birthday so she started life as a very favored and loved child. She passed November 6, 2024, at the age of 62 after relentlessly fighting cancer for two years. Her parents Robert and Marlyn Wright lovingly cared for her in their home in Oceanside, California as she boldly suffered severe side effects during her aggressive treatment. Her favorite Aunt, Joyce Pumphrey, helped care for her and was beside her side at her passing.
Julie's love for reading began at age two when her father began taking her to the library. Her favorite book was the "Monkey and the Motorcycle". She was definitely a "daddy's girl". Julie loved her many adventures with dad - strapped into her little seat on the handlebars of his bike. The family road trip across country from California to Washington for the 1976 Bicentennial Celebration is the vacation everyone in the family remembers best with great memories. During her childhood, she publicly accepted Christ as her Savior at the Glad Tidings Church in Hanford, California and was baptized. Julie was always wise beyond her years with a witty sense of humor.
Throughout her adult life, Julie had a continual love for higher education and earned a Master's Degree. She had many interests and lived in various places throughout the United States. Her latest venture was buying and selling vintage postcards on eBay. She was an avid New York Yankee fan and was rarely seen without her Yankee ball cap. A close second sport that captured her interest was women's college basketball.
Julie is survived by her parents Robert and Marlyn Wright of Oceanside, CA; two brothers Ronald Wright of Memphis, TN and David Wright of Norman, OK; and her favorite aunt Joyce Pumphrey of Chico, CA and numerous cousins.
