Julio Martinez, born May 27, 1932, passed away peacefully at the age of 93. His departure marks the close of a life defined by selflessness, devotion, and an unwavering commitment to the family he cherished. Julio's legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew him-especially his beloved wife of 64 years, Hilda Martinez, who predeceased him. Their marriage was a testament to love, resilience, and true partnership, an example that inspired everyone fortunate enough to witness it. At the center of Julio's world were his three sons and their wives: Julio & Carol, Pablo, and Ricardo & Teri. His pride in them was boundless. His steadfast support and quiet strength set a standard his sons strive every day to emulate. He lived by two simple credos-"my family comes first" and "enjoy life"-principles that guided every decision he made. Nothing brought Julio more joy than his grandchildren-Will, Nile, Thomas, Collin, and Bridget. The mere mention of their names lit up his face, a reflection of the deep affection he held for each of them. His integrity, generosity, and sense of humor left a lasting impression on all who were lucky enough to know him. Julio's presence was a light in the lives of those around him, bringing warmth, steadiness, and kindness even in difficult moments. Though his passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. A Funeral Mass for Julio will take place, Wednesday December 3, 2025 10:00 a.m. at St. Lukes RC Church. Visitation services will be held on Wednesday, December 3th, 2025 in the afternoon from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Please join the family at the Funeral Home, for closing prayers beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday December 4, 2025 at the Funeral Home. Julio will be laid to eternal rest with his loving wife at Calverton National Cemetery.
