Uncle Julie was one of the most important members of the Donodeo family. I have so many wonderful memories of him throughout the years. He brought so much fun and laughter to all of us. He often came with Aunt Helen and my cousins for barbeques and holidays to my parents' house on Long Island which he referred to as "the country". Boy, did he love his hot dogs. We also spent countless Sundays sharing dinner together at my grandmother's home. I will always remember Uncle Julie's corny jokes and how much he loved to dance. He put so much energy into everything he did and would do anything for us. I am so fortunate to have been his niece and will hold all the memories I have of him in my heart forever. Rest in peace, Uncle Julie.

My grandfather was a great all around man, and was very well-liked by everyone who knew him. He had an accomplished life, which included serving for many years as a firefighter and raising a wonderful family. He instilled in his children (and by extension, grandchildren) very important life values, and was very generous to others even outside his family. I will miss his repertoire of one-liners, and more importantly, his wisdom.

My father-in-law was a man of great dignity and integrity. He was also humorous, and above all filled with kindness and love for his wife Helen and his family. I will miss him very much.

Throughout my life, my grandfather was always there for me. He came to all of my sacraments and graduations. Even in his last few years at the nursing home, I was able to make him laugh by speaking the Italian slang that he taught me. Grandpa, I will continue to make you happy because you are truly one in a million.

We will always remember Dad for his kind heart, sense of humor, and one-liners but most of all for his devotion to his wife Helen (our mom) and to all of us (his children) and grandchildren. He was indeed a character and a "piece of work" but was always willing and able to help anyone in need. He always went out of his way for anyone and was also a great NYC firefighter for 37 years. Dad, we will never forget you, Love.......John
