We will miss Uncle Julius very much. Gary and I enjoyed our phone conversations with him, and our visits with him over the years - most recent in 2019.
He was my dad's (Payton Akers) half brother. Their voices sounded so much a like on the phone. After talking to Uncle Julius I would feel like I just had a bit of a conversation with my dad, too.
I loved how he would remember details of an event that we did when he visited us in Denver in 1999. His memory was incredible!
We loved him very much.
Our deepest condolences to Rosine and all of Julius's family.
