Boonsboro, MD – June Marie Savannah, 92, of Boonsboro, MD passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at her home.
She was born on January 20, 1933, in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Joseph Clyde and Mildred Louise (Pennington) Umphlet.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, William Joseph Savannah, Sr. who passed on September 12, 2015.
June was a Homemaker.
She was of the Catholic Faith.
June is survived by her children Margaret Newlen and her husband Russell of Jessup, MD, Teresa Ohan and her husband Timothy of Wheaton, MD, Julia Lovins of Boonsboro, MD, and Robert Savannah and his wife Mary of Frederick, MD; sisters-in-law Christine and Colleen Savannah; 16 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two sons James Savannah and William Savannah, Jr.; her daughter Kathleen Benedick; grandson William Savannah, III; sister Dorothy Welborn; brother Eugene Umphlet. A funeral service will be held at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at 12:00 (noon) with Pastor Doug Wagner officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service on Tuesday from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm.
Graveside services will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery Silver Spring, MD on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at 11:30 am with Chaplain Doug Wagner officiating.
