June Marie Schorr, 97, of Anderson, passed away on March 9, 2026 surrounded by her family.
She was born on February 11, 1929 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late William and Ethel (Webb) Westfall. After graduating from Lancaster High School in 1947, she married the love of her life, Richard L. Schorr, Sr. on September 2, 1950 and the two were married for 59 years until his passing in 2009.
June loved cross stitching, knitting, and working cross word puzzles. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed visiting the Great Smoky Mountains and Gulf Shores. June was an avid Ohio State Fan and cheered them on any chance she got.
Left to cherish her memories are her children, Richard "Ric" Schorr, Jr. of Lancaster, OH, Lori (Todd) Simmons of Yorktown, IN, and Kimberly "Kim" (James) Craig of Pendleton, IN; grandchildren, Richard (Ashley) Schorr, III, Stephanie (Chris) Schorr, Anthony "AJ" J. (Mary) Schorr, Blake Simmons, Katie (Brenten) Hiestand, Dr. Lindsay Craig, and Hayley (Justin) Craig-Roberts; several great-grandchildren; brothers, Ted and Paul Westfall both of Lancaster, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and five siblings.
Her entombment will take place on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 12:00 PM at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery, 6805 Doctor M.L.K. Jr Blvd, Anderson, IN 46013. June's services have been entrusted to Bozell Funeral Homes and Crematory- Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel.
