June Ann Storma, 90, of Rochester, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025, surrounded by love and cherished memories.
June was the daughter of the late Arthur and Minnie Lillie Myers. She valued learning throughout her life, graduating from Rochester Community College and later taking classes at Concordia College. One of her greatest joys was teaching swimming. For 30 years at the Rochester Recreation Center-and for 15 of those same years through Community Education-June shared her patience and encouragement with children and adults, helping many feel comfortable and confident in the water.
June had a deep love for singing, and music was a constant source of joy in her life. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and the Rochester Senior Center and enjoyed sharing her voice with the Young at Heart Singers, Sounds of Praise, and the Singing Teapots. Singing brought her happiness and a sense of connection to those around her. At home, she enjoyed quiet moments spent reading and quilting.
June was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Martin Storma; her son, Charles Storma; her parents; and her siblings. She is survived by her son, Robert Storma of Rochester, Minnesota; her daughter, Alicia Kruger and her grandsons Joshua, Mark, and Sam, all of Round Rock, Texas; along with many loving nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
A Memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Redeemer Lutheran Church 869 7th Ave. SE, Rochester, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment to follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
