June Louis Wallinger passed away peacefully on Friday, November 8, 2024, at the age of 91; preceded in death by the her parents, the late Lee Wright and the late Esther Wright nee Barclay; her half-brothers David Randel and Robert Randel, her sisters Pearl Wagner, LeEtta Wixson, Doris (Vernon) Edwards, Grace (Dick) Dehnel; she is survived by her sisters Lois (the late Don) Stratten and Sharen Carpenter; devoted mother of Jeanne (Joe) Rector, Judy (Dan) Kelly, James (Janet) Wallinger; cherished grandmother of Joey (Katie) Rector, Krista (Ryan) Kerlick, Derek (Katherine) Kelly, Justin Rector, Jocelyn (Joe) Reynolds, Jenya Rector, Jeremy (Sydney) Rector, Julianne Wallinger, and Jayna Wallinger; cherished great grandmother to Addison, Cameron & Emerson Kerlick and Miles & Peyton Rector; loving Aunt, Cousin and devoted friend to many who will miss her dearly.
June was married to her devoted husband, the late John Kenneth Wallinger, for an incredible 68 years. Together, they set a beautiful example of a lasting and loving marriage for their children and all who knew them.
June’s life was filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. She had a passion for tennis and enjoyed many spirited matches on the court. She was also an avid card player, delighting with games with family and friends. Her love for reading transported her to different worlds, and her adventurous spirit took her on numerous vacations, cruises, and travels, where she explored new places and cultures.
Family was at the heart of June’s life. She treasured family gatherings, and the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating lasting bonds and joyful moments. Her involvement in church activities and bible studies reflected her deep faith and commitment to her community.
June’s creativity shone through in her crafts, where she poured her heart and soul into each project. Her artistic talents and imaginative spirit were evident in everything she created.
June’s legacy of love, faith, and creativity will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the joy and warmth she brought into our lives.
