Junior Martin

Junior Martin, 89, of Central, husband to Janie Hamilton Martin, passed away November 3, 2022.
Born in Pickens County, he was the son of the late Capers and Irene Pinion Martin. Junior was a brick mason and later in life was a mechanic. He enjoyed being outside and loved working. Mr. Martin was a member of Central Independent Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Janie Hamilton Martin; daughters, Dianne Pilgrim and husband Hoyt of Six Mile and Judy Green and husband Ralph of Easley; sons, Dean Martin and wife Rita of Pickens, Darryl Martin and wife Darlene of Six Mile, and Dale Martin of Central; grandchildren, Jody Pilgrim and wife Wendy, Shawn Gaines and wife Kelly, Tiffany Martin, Haley Smith and husband Ryan, and Amanda Martin; sister, Sybil Lackey. Junior is also survived by three great-grandchildren and five step-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 4, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home.
A private graveside service will be held at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Central, SC.
