Junior Nipps Obituary

Junior was born April 21, 1934, in Pocahontas, AR. to the late William Henry and Lillie Jane Songer Nipps. He retired from the Brown Shoe factory. Junior was a morning regular at McDonald's and a regular bench sitter at Wal-Mart. Junior was a proud Korea and Cold War Army veteran where he earned the field artillery rifle and pistol sharpshooter medal and the Korea and Cold War service medals.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Henry and Lillie Jane Songer Nipps; wife, Elizabeth Nancy Smith; daughter, Sue Ann Nipps; son, Roy Nipps; brothers, Leamon, Odis, Earnie, James, and Charles Nipps; sisters, Mary Louise DeMarb and Anna Mae Hackworth.
Junior is survived by his children, Rick (Elaine) Nipps, Jeffrey Nipps, Bobby Joe Nipps, Connie Nelson all of Pocahontas, Linda Smith and Greg Wilkerson of Ravenden Springs; grandchildren, Ricky Nipps Jr., Tiffany Wicker, Jason Smith, Dylan Smith, Gary Ingram, Chasity McPherson, Charity Ingram, Kevin Johnson all of Pocahontas, Ashley Ellington of Oklahoma, David Anglin of Corning; 20 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held Friday, April 14, 2023, from 5-7 PM in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with military honors being presented.
Honorary Pallbearer will be Joey Ashcraft.
