Junior Wiggins

Junior "Curtis" (aka "TC" and "Sunny") Wiggins, 73 passed away on Wednesday June 29, 2022. Curtis was born on September 22, 1948, in Louisville, KY to Bertha and Thomas Curtis. On August 8, 1981, Curtis married the love of his life Brenda Toles. He was a hard worker, husband, and father. They raised 2 children together, a son Timothy (Anya), and a daughter, Janae (James). Curtis served in the Army branch of the military and was Honorably Discharged in 1968. Curtis loved music more than life. He was a gifted, self-taught musician, and he performed locally for many years at various nightclubs in the city. Some of his biggest hits were "Stand Up When I Talk to You" (1973) and "Can't Buy Love With Money" (1975). He was a policeman, security guard, and firefighter/EMT before becoming a business owner of Sunny and Westport Medical Transportation for more than 20 years. Curtis was preceded in death by his father, mother, sisters Ella and Jacqueline "Dee", and daughter TiAndra. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Brenda, his siblings Londee (of New Birth) and Donald, two children Timothy and Janae, and several grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews who love and miss him dearly.
