Justin J. Colasante, 36, of Southington, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, September 12, 2021. He was born on January 8, 1985 in Bristol to Tammy DeRosa and Joseph Colasante and had been a lifelong Southington resident.
Justin was a proud father, loving son, brother, grandson and friend. He is survived by his cherished twin daughters, Emma and Madalyn, his mother Tammy DeRosa of Southington, his father Joseph Colasante of FL; his brother, Aaron Berger and Aaron’s father Edward Berger of Southington and younger siblings; Brandon and Cayden Colasante of Southington He is also survived by his maternal grandmother Carolyn DeRosa of Southington; aunts and uncles; Lauralyn Nadeau (O’Neil) of Southington; Jeffrey DeRosa of Southington; Katherine Clynes (Ryan) of Meriden; Lisa Colasante; Paula Colasante; Dean Colasante (Ivonne) all of FL and Charlie Colasante of Bristol and several cousins, especially Tiffany Tricarico and Jaime DeRosa and his best friend, Nick Phelps of NH. He was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Judith Faryniarz, paternal grandfather, Joseph Colasante; maternal grandfather, Gene DeRosa, his uncle David DeRosa and cousin, Corey Cyr.
Justin worked at Flynn’s Moving and Storage for over 10 years. Justin had a big heart and a gentle soul. He loved music and playing disc golf, but most of all, he adored his daughters, Emma and Madalyn and their sister, Brianna.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St, Plantsville. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Southington. Following services for Justin, relatives and friends are invited to 56 Judd St. in Terryville for a celebration of life.
