Justus Freeman McDonald

Gap Mills, WV – Justus Freeman McDonald, precious child of Aaron Freeman McDonald and Alyssa Joylynn Pettingill McDonald, was born into the loving arms of angels and carried to Jesus on February 22, 2026, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center. Although his time with us on earth was brief, Justus’s life is cherished beyond measure. His parents find comfort in knowing that he rests peacefully in the presence of Jesus, embraced by God’s eternal love and grace.

In addition to his parents, Justus is survived by his maternal grandparents, Timothy Mark and Crystal Lynn Pettingill; paternal grandparents, Dion Freeman McDonald and Linda Susan Young; and maternal great-grandparents, Grace Pettingill, Millie and Larry Lutz, and Paul and Joy Crowder, aunts, Diandra Susan Melvin and husband Nicholas Roderick Melvin, Alexis Grace Ann Pettingill and uncle, Anthony Paul James Pettingill.

He will forever be remembered and loved by all who awaited his arrival. His family is sustained by the hope and promise of reunion in Heaven, where they trust he is held safe in Jesus’ arms.
