Jyron Johnson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Jeter Funeral Home LLC on Apr. 25, 2025.
Jyron "Red" Johnson was born on November 9, 1955, in Ruleville, Mississippi, to the late Willie and Willie Mae Johnson. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Ralph, and his sisters Joyce and Deborah.
On April 19. 2025, the Lord called him home. Though we mourn his passing, we rejoice in the comfort of knowing he suffers no more.
Red shared a beautiful life with his devoted wife, Constance "Lisa" Johnson
-a true partnership built on love, loyalty, and faith. He gave his life to the Lord early on, beginning his spiritual journey at Mallalieu Methodist Church. Over the years, his faith grew stronger, and later in life, he found a spiritual home at Savannah Heights Church of God in Christ in Fort Walton Beach, where he remained deeply rooted in faith and fellowship
Gifted with his hands, Red was a skilled contractor spending more than 18 years working for the government rehabbing homes on naval bases. Jyron took great pride in his craft. For him, it was never just a job-it was a calling. He approached each project with care, precision, and a deep sense of purpose, always committed to doing things the right way-with integrity. attention to detail, and a steady hand. Through his work, he brought beauty and stability to the lives of others.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories a loving wife, Lisa; his children Latanya Calhoun, LaMarcus Brand, Shrone "MeMe" Perry, Tiesha Stiger, and Antonio Hawthorne; as well as a host of grandchildren, stepchildren, his sister Peewee and Brother Cheetah, nieces, nephews, and friends each of whom was touched by his quiet strength, his enduring love, and his unwavering loyalty.
Though he is no longer with us in body, Red's legacy lives on-in the lives he shaped, the homes he built, the gardens he nurtured, and the love he so generously shared. Jyron "Red" Johnson was a builder in every sense of the word-of homes, of family, of faith, and of character.
Rest well, Red. You built a life worth remembering, and your spirit will forever live on in the hearts of all who love you.
