Services for K. Francis Davis, 77, of Newcastle, are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, 2025, at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Ringling with Bro. Joe Taylor officiating. Private interment will follow at the Ringling Memorial Cemetery.
K. Francis was born May 8, 1947, to the late Mr. Samuel Floyd King and Mrs. Helen Lavern (Koch) Simmons. She departed this life on Friday, February 14, 2025, at her home in Newcastle.
K was raised in the Oklahoma City area and attended school in Newcastle, where she proudly completed her education through the 12th grade. During this time, she met her future husband, Mr. Virgil D. Davis. The couple married on November 9, 1964, in Wichita Falls, Texas, a union that would last a lifetime. Following their marriage, K and Virgil made their home in New Castle before relocating to Courtney to be closer to Virgil's family. Their journey led them back to the Oklahoma City area, where K began her professional career. With a strong work ethic, K held numerous jobs throughout her life. Her career began at a convenience store, where she worked for around four years, showcasing her dedication and commitment to her roles. She then went on to serve as the customer service manager at the Bone and Joint Clinic in Oklahoma City, a position she held with pride for 17 years. K concluded her working career at Wal-Mart, contributing her talents for an additional two to three years. Known for her vibrant personality, K had a zest for life that was reflected in her cherished hobbies. She enjoyed her Coca Cola, Marlboro cigarettes, and the thrill of casinos. Despite her spirited nature, she was a devoted wife and mother, and her culinary skills were renowned among family and friends. K Francis Davis leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will be felt by all who knew her. Her life was a tapestry of dedication and enthusiasm, woven together with the threads of family, work, and her many interests. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the honor of sharing in her life.
Preceding her in death are her father, Samuel; mother and stepfather who raised her, Helen and Herman Lee Simmons; sister, Gaynell Guera; son, Virgil Lee Davis; brother-in-law, Rick Davis.
Survivors include her husband Virgil D Davis of the home; sons, Eddie Don Davis and Michael Keith Davis; sister, Sandra J Davis and husband Windel; grandchildren, Daniel Lee Davis and Anna M. Davis; great grandchild, Cheyenne Lindsey Covel; numerous other family and friends.
