K. Scott Sine, 57, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully at his home on November 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Scott was a beloved and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Jessica. Scott's daughters Shalome Sine, Rachel Winter, Abiel Solitario and Leahanna Gairbekova, his grandson, Alphonse, as well as his nieces Daisy Freedland and Athena Raguels Landsman were his pride and joy. Scott was thrilled to have four wonderful sons-in-law, Ken Lau Asato, Curtis Winter, Alexandre Solitario, and Rassul Gairbekov.
Scott is also survived by his father, Barry Sine, his step mother Lois Sine and step father Johnathan Hatch; sister Lauree Sine and her husband Robert Hurman; brother Aaron Sine and his wife Susan, and their children; and step sisters Emily Lindberg and Rebecca Howell and their families. He was also cherished by Jessica's parents and family in England. Scott was pre-deceased by his mother Cora Jean Hatch and beloved nephew Thomas Kerr.
Scott was his exuberant, authentic self wherever he went. Throughout his life he deeply cared about his faith, his family and his community and worked hard to serve Christ by serving all those around him and by using is talents to make the world a better place. As a result, Scott tended to become an important person in the lives of anyone he met. His wife knew him to be a loving and faithful husband. His children knew him to be a caring, silly, and fun-loving father. To many more throughout his community and beyond, he was known to be a loving and caring son, brother, friend or colleague.
Scott also had a successful career as a professional engineer for more than 30 years. He spent many years of his career working for HT Lyons. Scott had a vision for how to better care for the earth. With that vision in mind, he earned his MBA from Penn State and founded his own company, Grid & Energy Masterplanning (GEMM). GEMM focused on creating good business solutions for greener building energy design. His work and legacy remain influential in environmentally-conscious design/build innovation strategies today. Throughout his career, Scott would often say that he was led by purpose and supported by his loving family.
Scott proudly served in the United States Army Reserves. In addition to his military service, Scott often sought out and devoted himself to opportunities to serve his community through volunteer and charity work. He was a member of Edgeboro Moravian Church, where he was a bible study leader, Sunday School teacher, and mentor.
Scott enjoyed staying active and was always 'on the move.' He liked kayaking, camping, scuba diving, and disc golfing but most of all he enjoyed spending time with people.
He loved to meet new people, make new friends, and always sought to make any newcomers feel welcome anywhere. The quality time he spent with his beloved family were his happiest and most meaningful times of his life.
He will be lovingly remembered by many people throughout Bethlehem and by family and friends around the world. He always wanted everyone to know about God's gift of grace and love in Christ. He encouraged those around him be the best version of themselves, and he will continue to inspire us to do so.
