Kacy Lee Weickert, 31 of Fremont passed away peacefully at her home on August 6, 2023, in Fremont, Ohio. The Daughter of Kent Weickert (Lori Rister) and Deb Dierksheide (Tom Overmyer). She was a 2014 graduate of the School of Hope, Fremont.
Kacy touched the hearts of many. Born with Cerebral Palsy, she never had it easy but made the best of her life. Kacy loved to be teased and loved to give it right back. Even without a voice, Kacy was the bossiest and most loving person. Throughout her life, her caregivers, teachers, aides, day-hab staff and van/bus drivers were like family to her as well as to her parents. They all have such huge hearts and could always make Kacy smile. Kacy will be greatly missed. Even in this terrible time of sadness, it gives her family and friends some comfort to know that she is finally running, jumping, talking, and laughing.
Kacy is survived by her parents; brother, Derek (Lauren Venia); sister, Jaimee (Brandon) Schick; Grandparents, Judy Weickert, Gene and Dottie Dierksheide; nieces, Evelyn and Lennon Schick and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Ken Weickert and infant sister, Devon M. Weickert.
