Kahlani Lillian Joy Beighley-King, 9 month old daughter of Shelly King and Thomasena Beighley, passed away in the loving arms of her mothers on March 9, 2024 at University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital following a courageous battle with Infantile Automosal Recessive Malignant Osteopetrosis.
Kahlani was born on May 16, 2023 in Eau Claire, WI and was the perfect addition to her family. She will be remembered for the best snuggles and love she gave. Kahlani loved to be held and snuggle with her blankies and giraffe. She had a fiesty and loving spirit which helped her to overcome many obstacles and fight her disease with great courage. She had such a sparkle in her eyes, and was a loving little sister to her siblings.
She is survived by her moms, Shelly and Thomasena, and five siblings: Michael (Samantha) King, Greyson, Aubree Lee, Tennessee, and Emersyn Beighley-King. She also leaves her beloved grandparents, Goldene Beighley, Arlene King, and Jim (Barb) King along with numerous aunts, uncles, extended family and all who loved her. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Thomas Beighley, and her aunt Terry Michels.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 15th from 12 PM - 1 PM at Central Lutheran Church, 28 E. Columbia Street, with a service following at 1 PM in the church. Burial will be in Cornell Cemetery.
Kahlani's family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to her amazing team of caregivers, family, friends, and so many who offered love, comfort, and support during her journey.
