Kai Yu Chui

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of my beloved father, Kai Yu Chui, who passed away peacefully on January 13,2025, at the age of 96. He was born on August 25,1928 in Hu Bei Province, China to Dang Sun Hu and Jun Ren Chui Kai Yu was a loving father, grandfather, and friend. He was known for his kindness, generosity, and work ethic. Throughout his life, he was dedicated to education, a healthy lifestyle including balanced diet, exercise and rest. He enjoyed ballroom dancing, philately and ping pong. He had won awards in ballroom dancing competitions and ping pong tournaments! He is survived by his daughter Angela Son-in-Law Wayne granddaughter Francine grandson Clement brother and sister He was preceded in death by wife Kok Ying Au-Young brothers A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday January 25, 2025 at 2-4pm, service at 3pm at Bryant Funeral Home, E Setauket, NY 11733, where family and friends are invited to join in remembering his life. You don't need to wear black. His favorite color was white. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that you consider a gift to The Stony Brook School in memory of Francine and Clement Leung's grandfather Kai Yu Chui to further the nurturing of young minds. Dad highly valued academic and character education in his life. The Stony Brook School motto is 'Character Before Career' in its 102 years of history.
