Kaitlyn Dale Bronson, 32, passed away on February 19, 2026. She was born on April 29, 1993, in Germany to Theodore and Kari (Scheunemann) Bronson.
Kaitlyn's greatest love and proudest role was being a mother. Her daughter, Kaylani, was her heart, her best friend, and her most important person. Not a night passed without Kaitlyn telling her, "I love you to the moon and stars and back and to infinity and beyond."
Kaitlyn lived her life boldly and unapologetically. She loved movies, especially Cinderella and The Aristocats, and had a special fondness for Marie from Aristocats. She adored her Lisa Frank cheetah print, spontaneous hair makeovers, make-up, music, and dancing. Kaitlyn never entered a room quietly - whether it was her loud hair, loud clothes, or loud voice, her presence was always known and always felt.
She had a gift for music, able to sing and rap with confidence and skill. Once, she entertained her brother Corey with a hilarious "full talking rap" over the phone while he drove three hours home from Milwaukee. She loved to dance and sing and was always ready with a quick wit and a comeback.
Kaitlyn especially loved teasing her dad with spirited political debates, getting him all worked up before flashing a grin and asking, "Are you big mad, or little mad?" - instantly making him laugh and, in her mind, winning the argument every time.
She graduated from D.C. Everest Senior High School with the Class of 2011, where she also played softball. Though she always dreamed of attending beauty school, her stubborn independence wouldn't allow her to accept help paying for it, and she kept that dream close to her heart.
Kaitlyn was the favorite aunt - always ready for pool trips, games, and playful trash talk. She was often heard saying, "Don't play with me, play with your friends." She loved her cats, supported autism awareness, and treasured her nieces and nephews deeply.
Her kindness knew no limits. Kaitlyn would "give the shirt off her back," even when she had little to give. She saw beauty in everyone, stood up for the underdog, and was fiercely loyal - truly her siblings' ride-or-die. She made people feel like she had everything, even when she had nothing. She was bright, eclectic, beautiful inside and out, with a sense of humor that could light up the darkest room.
Above all else, Kaitlyn's greatest love and proudest role was being a mother. Her daughter, Kaylani, was her heart, her best friend, and her most important person. Not a night passed without Kaitlyn telling her, "I love you to the moon and stars and back and to infinity and beyond."
She is survived by her parents, Theodore and Kari Bronson; her beloved daughter, Kaylani; the love of her life, Sean Smith; her siblings, Nicole (Jeffery) Eaton, Corey (Leigh) Bronson, and Tiffany (Jonathan) McKnight; her cherished nieces and nephews, Bryce and Bryton Childers, Brandi Eaton, McKenzie and Roman Bronson, Erin, Aliyah, Camryn, Rhylee, and Lyla; along with many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Kaitlyn's life was vibrant, loud, loving, and unforgettable - just like she was. Her spirit will continue to dance in the hearts of all who loved her.
A celebration of Kaitlyn's life will take place on Friday, February 27, 2026, at the Rothschild Village Hall, 211 Grand Ave,
Rothschild, WI 54474 from 12:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Kaitlyn's wish was to celebrate in her own way, with God. The family's wishes were for a celebration featuring rainbow colors, cheetah print, or Lisa Frank themes.
