Brian & Jaci,
I just found out last night about the death of your beloved daughter. I am so sorry to hear of your loss and you are in my thoughts and prayers. I remember in Omaha when you adopted Kalila.

I only knew Kalila through interacting with her online, but she inspired many of us, myself included, to become bone marrow donors and help other people battling leukemia. I am very sorry for your loss. Your daughter had a wonderful way with words.

I am sure that the Lord has a higher purpose for Kalila. Even though she will be missed by the many that were left behind;take comfort in the fact that she is not in pain anymore. Kalila story touched me very deeply. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

I am so sorry that Kakuka had only a short time with you. I only know of Kalila from Lynn, my good friend. From everything I have heard says that Kalila touched many lives & was a very special daughter, niece, cousin and friend.

We were so very saddened to hear of Kalila's loss. She will be incredibly missed by all who knew and loved her, but GOD and Heaven are rejoicing. We know she is HOME! All of our love and prayers go out to the two of you. We cannot imagine how much you will miss her or the hole that will be in your hearts until you are HOME with her someday.

Kalila, you will be missed by everyone who knew you. I miss our fun times in Marching Band, hanging out on the bus singing our show or when we were making so much noice on our trip to Grand Junction that Mr. McGowan came to our room to tell us to keep it down. The fact that we were all scared to open the door that all of us made you answer the door because we knew he wouldnt get mad at you. I will always remember our chats during Astronomy class. I'm surprised we didnt get in trouble more cuz we were always talking. I am just happy that you are no longer in any pain, and i know you will make an awesome angel for someone who needs your help. You were the one person i would always go to first to help me figure out any problem. You had a way of always making me see the other side of things.I will miss you very much.

Thank you Kalila for always being there to help me when I needed it at RMC. I will never forget your smile and your words of encouragement. You were a blessing here and I know God is enjoying your company now. I look forward to seeing you in heaven. Maybe you can show me around.

Brian & Jaci, we are so sorry to hear of your loss. Kalila was such a brilliant young woman and one to truly be admired. I remember we sat next to you guys in the "Benjamin Button" movie last year, and Kalila had a lot of really good insight about the movie that she shared with us since we missed the first 10 minutes of the movie. She was a breath of fresh air!

We will keep you in our prayers! - Love, Al & Cheryl Smith

I miss you so much! I know that Heaven is now brighter with you, but I still selfishly wish you were here. I will never forget our "pocket knife training" or our "camping trips" in Girl Scouts. I will never forget laughing with you during Academy and lunch period. I will never forget travelling to various music competitions with you. I will never forget your Hawaiian t-shirts, shorts and sandals...even in crummy weather. I will never forget your words or your heart. I will see you later my friend. I love you!
