I'm saddened by your loss on 9/11, but rest on!

18 years ago I was given Kalyan's name on a wristband to wear on my wrist as my family was leaving a county fair to remember to pray for him and his family. I was 11 at the time and I prayed every day for over a year for the peace and healing of his family, though at the time I was less aware of the impact of what this event really was. Every year on September 11th I find myself thinking about him and what kind of person he was and what his family must have gone through and how they are currently doing. Time doesn't take away grief and loss, no matter how long it's been. But I want his family to know that there is still someone out there who says a prayer for them every year on September 11th and hopes that there is growth and some amount of peace that finds it's way to them every year.

Thinking of you today and often. Never forgotten!

In memory....

I'm sorry I never had the chance of knowing such a wonderful man. While I never knew him I know for a fact that he was a man like no other. I know this because I know his son, Sujoy, and anyone that could give life to such a warm-hearted, kind person is by my terms, and everybody else's, a success. I wish the family much luck and love in overcoming such a tragedy, while I know that the luck isn't necessary because they have a tremendous amount of mental/emotional strength.

Dear Kal:



I have no words to express my sorrow. Everyday, you are in my dream. Sometimes, I could hear your voice. You will be always in our heart. I am sometimes speechless with shock! I still think you will come back to our home and be motivated to study all the time! I know your students are missing you. We are deeply saddend for you. We will always love you and keep you in our hearts.

We did a walk around the school to wearing name tags displaying victims names and i chose yours becuase i love building things, and i just wnated to send my concern and condolence to you family

I am working on your name for a memorial at my school. I am sorry you died. I know your family misses you. My heart goes out to you and your family.

I really find no words to console myself. Ihave lost my only son in my whole family who was dearer to me more than my ownself. I love you dear "Khoka" and you will always reside in my heart. May your soul rest in peace.
