Kama Marie "Kam" Walcott

Funeral services for Kama Walcott will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 5, 2025, at the Friends Church in Cherokee with Pastor John Clapp officiating. A private burial will be at a later date. The family will receive visitors from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva. Kama Marie "Kam" Walcott, daughter of Sherry Lorraine (Ridgway) Ramy and William Rex Walcott, was born April 29, 1975, at Alva, and passed away August 28, 2025, at Dacoma, at the age of 50 years, 3 months, and 30 days. She attended school at Alva graduating from Alva High School with the Class of 1994. She enjoyed anything outdoors, riding horses, rodeos, hunting, and fishing. Kama was an animal lover, especially horses, cats and dogs. She worked as a ranch hand and was always a hard worker. She never knew a stranger and would do anything for those she cared about. Kama is preceded in death by her grandparents, James L. Ridgway, Lois Noble Murdock, Walter and Thora Lee Fincher, and Charles and Georgiana Ramy. She is survived by her parents, Sherry and Tom Ramy of Alva, and Bill and Linda Walcott of Buffalo; her brother, Derrick Walcott and wife, Terri, of Alva; nieces, Samantha Keplinger and husband, Brandon, of Alva, and Kadee Walcott of Alva; and one great nephew, Beau Keplinger; other relatives and many friends. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Alva Animal Control (please make checks payable to the City of Alva.)
