Kandi Sipe Murphy

Mrs. Kandi Leigh Sipe Murphy, 57, of Collettsville, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at Carolinas Medical Center, following a period of declining health. Kandi was born November 4, 1961 in Burke County to the Fannie Gaye Evans Sipe and the late Robert Lee Sipe. She worked as a Deputy Clerk of Court for Caldwell County. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of twenty-one years, David Murphy; sons, Joshua Galassi and Anthony Galassi; sister, Dee Sipe Sawchuck and husband Mike; and nephews, Mason Henson and Alex Henson. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at 6:30 PM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese. The family will receive friends on prior to the service from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at Heritage Funeral Service.
