Kandy Smith Obituary
Kandy was born on December 30, 1979, in Harlan, Kentucky to the union of Bennie Ellis and Sheena Colet Sokolowski Smith. Kandy had worked as a front-end manager for Sav-A-Lot Stores in Lexington, Kentucky for a short while. She enjoyed anything outdoors and was considered an artistic type of person. She loved to draw and paint. Even through her battle with her declining health, she still tried to keep busy and help others in any way she could. She had a warm, outgoing personality and a smile as bright as the sun. She brought a lot of laughs and has given a lot of memories. She will be missed by her family and friends.
She leaves to mourn her passing, parents, Bennie Ellis and Sheena C. Sokolowski Smith, sons, Christopher Barker, Michael Alexander Barker, Shelby Maverick Deitemeyer, daughter, Madeline Marcum, brothers, McKinley Edward Smith, Walter Kansas Smith and Cebert Richard Randy Smith, a host of other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Kandy's Life will be held on Wednesday, March 27th, at Cumberland Valley Funeral Home from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

I have so many memories with you over all the years. When I found out about you it broke my heart into a million pieces. My dear friend is gone. I love you chick and you will always be missed. Fly high r.i.p. til we meet again
