Kandy Sparks Wilson

Kandy Sparks Wilson, 64, Indianapolis, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2025 after a lengthy illness. She was born on Thursday, December 22, 1960. She worked in food service, working for Dairy Queen, Hardees and White Castle. Kandy was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Hardy Wilson, daughters Ann Marie Wilson and Jennifer Lynn Wilson; grandchildren, Shane Wilson, Shawn Wilson, Rosa Wilson and Yacquelin Garcia; great grandson, Levi Cash Micheal Wilson; sisters Wylma L. Wallace, brothers Robert E. Sparks and Billy Jones; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Kandy was preceded in death by her father, Robert Sparks; aunt, Wylma Sparks; brother, David L. Sparks; grandson, Anthony R. Wilson and sister, Laura Jones. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Oakley-Hammond Funeral Home, Moore & Kirk Irvington Chapel, 5342 E. Washington St., Indianapolis with visitation on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Washington Park East Cemetery.
