Karan Boyd Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Clayton Kay Vaughan Funeral Home - Alvarado on Dec. 28, 2025.
Karan Denese Boyd, born January 26, 1957, in Hillsboro, Texas, passed away peacefully December 27, 2025, in Fort Worth with her loving husband at her side. She was the beloved daughter of Mary Katherine Stout and Billy Harold Lynch and lived a life defined by devotion, kindness, and service to others.
Karan was a devoted wife, loving mother, sister and cherished Mimi. She shared 52 years of marriage with her husband, Dennis Boyd, whom she married on July 20, 1973, in Itasca, Texas. Together, they built a life rooted in love. They spent most of their adult lives in Itasca, where they raised their family and became deeply connected to the community. Dennis remained faithfully by her side as she passed, a reflection of the enduring bond they shared.
She proudly raised two sons, Jeremy Boyd and wife Jennifer of Grandview, and Josh Boyd and wife Kristen of Mount Calm. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren: Madi Boyd; Kenzie Morris and husband Seth; Austin Boyd and wife Kylie; Keagan Boyd; and Blakely Boyd. She was also blessed with a great-grandson, Miles Morris, who brought her immense happiness.
Karan devoted her time and heart to her family, spending countless hours watching her grandchildren play sports and supporting them in everything they were involved in. She was their biggest cheerleader, always present and endlessly proud.
Professionally, Karan worked as a florist at the flower shop in Itasca, where her creativity and warmth touched many. She later retired from Itasca Independent School District after years of dedicated service at the elementary school, where she helped students learn, grow, and feel cared for. Her gentle spirit and dedication left a lasting impression on generations of children and colleagues.
Karan Boyd will be remembered for her unwavering love, selfless heart, and lifelong dedication to her family and community. Her legacy lives on through the family she cherished and the many lives she touched.
Karan is survived by Husband, Dennis Boyd; Sons, Jeremy Boyd and Wife Jennifer, Josh Boyd and Wife Kristen; Grandchildren Madi Boyd, Kenzie Morris and Husband Seth, Austin Boyd and Wife Kylie, Keagan Boyd, and Blakely Boyd; Great-Grandson, Miles Morris; Sister, Sandra Vaughan Coffey and Husband Glenn, Sister-in-Law, Janet Cooper and Husband Todd, Brother-in-Law, John Boyd, Sister-in-Law, Ruth Morgan and Husband William, as well as numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
