Karen Louise Alexander was born September 17, 1947 and passed away peacefully on Christmas Eve. She was the daughter of Betty Lou (Jerry) Zellner and Bud Monfort. On October 5, 1965 Karen married Dick Alexander and together they had two daughters, Tami and Amy.
Karen spent her life as a caregiver to children, including family, neighbors, and friends. She was patient and kind.
She is survived by her daughter, Tami (Kevin) Zellner and their daughter, Nicole (Kyle) Bonin; her son-in-law, Brian Schroeder and his daughters, Megan (Jon) Lehr and Elizabeth (Austin) Flanders. Karen is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Mason and Adalynn Lehr and Easton and Turner Bonin; her brother, Mike (Lisa) Monfort and her sister, Sue (Todd) Wolf; and many other nieces, nephews, and other loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Dick; her daughter, Amy; her granddaughter, Ashley; her parents; and her sister, Tina Vallier.
There will be no services at Karen's request.
