Karen Cantell

Karen Cantell was born August 17, 1949. She passed away on June 1, 2024. She was born in Canada. At her time of death, she was 74 years old. She passed away at her residence in Bloomington Springs, TN.
She was the daughter of the late Robert Wilson and Eleanor Gertrude Wilson.
She worked in the healthcare field. Karen donated her time freely to the Wheels on Meals program.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Survivors include her ex-husband/fiancée: John L. Cantell of Bloomington Springs, TN: daughters: Janet Benoit of Bloomington Springs, TN, Jodi Cantell of Leicester, MA, Jeanna Cantell of Silver Point, TN, Laura Shulman of GA, Maureen Masters of MA. Special "daughter" Christine Mariani of MA. In addition, she has nine grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Many other friends and relatives survive.
The family has chosen cremation at this time. However, they will be holding a Celebration of Life at a later date and time which will be announced once the plans have been finalized.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Friends of Jackson County Animal Shelter in her honor. Donations may be made by contacting the business office of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home.
