Karen Ann Palmer was born on November 18, 1942, in Buffalo, NY, to Glenford and Helen (Suntag) Palmer. She met and married the love of her life Richard (Dick) Galde in 1968. After their marriage she spent 27 years at various duty stations due to Dick being in the Navy. Karen loved being a Navy wife.
After retirement she and Dick moved to Madison, SD and a year later to Winfred, SD. In her spare time Karen loved to bake, fish, sew, and above all loved her grandchildren. Karen loved to bake for work events and special occasions for friends.
Karen is survived by her daughter Lisa (Rich) Wise of Winfred, SD, and sons Richard Galde II of Cherokee, IA and Donald Galde of Winfred, SD, 6 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren.
Karen is preceded in death by husband Richard (Nov. 13, 2023), her parents; siblings Bruce, Glen, David and Joyce; and Grandson Christopher Wise.
