Hardman, Karen Jane of Fruitland Park, Florida, formerly of Flushing, age 84, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2025, at her home. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Rossell Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. Thursday until the time of the service at 1 p.m. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Karen was born in Flint, Michigan on April 7, 1941, the daughter of Clayton and Alice (McCormick) Keyser. She married Richard Hardman on September 30, 1967. He preceded her in death on March 23, 2005. Karen was an active member of the Red Hat Society and took her daughters for many years to England for their annual New Years Day Parade. She was an avid bowler, often traveling the country and belonging to several leagues. Karen lived her life to always include others and make them feel welcome and that blood doesn't make someone family. She was generous and put everyone's needs first. Karen enjoyed collecting crystals and various keepsakes. In her later years, she enjoyed staying home and watching Hallmark movies.
Karen is survived by her daughters, Kristen and husband Chuck Richardson, Katherine and husband Chris Dixon; foster son, James Brady; grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Michael) Kirby, Leah (Christopher Hasmi) Richardson, Aaron (Julie Clarkston) Hinman, Travis (Kali Lechtanski) Dixon, Aubree Dixon, Connor Pangle; great-grandchildren, Elliott Pangle, Christopher Dixon; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and sister, Ann Keyser.
