Karen Lynell Harris, age 65, passed away on January 6, 2024, in Mobile, AL.
Ms. Harris was an animal lover with a particular fondness for dogs. Her faithful companion, Mitzi, was her world. She had a way with plants and could make anything grow or bloom. Ms. Harris loved her friends and family with all her heart and will be remembered for all the help and care she extended to others.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Elizabeth Fowler, brother, Charles Fowler and nephew, "Trae" Skelton.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Theresa (Patrick) Smith. She also leaves behind her daughter, Brandy (Stephen) Wade and son, Charles Childress, whose lives she entrusted to her mother's care through adoption, yet they stayed connected throughout the years until her death. Grandchildren, Gauge Smith, Kate Lipscomb, Cali Lipscomb, Joey Lipscomb, Koen Lipscomb, and Chloé Ross and sisters, Darlene (David) Carlisle, Sharlene Fowler, Marlene (Johnny) Carrier, and Cindy (Brian) Beams, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Services will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with visitation from 1:00 pm until the memorial service at 2:00 pm.
