Karen Hunsberger Obituary

Karen was born March 31, 1935, in Waveland, Indiana, the daughter of Hubert and Ellen Knight Reed. On April 27, 1957, she married Niles F. Hunsberger.
Mrs. Hunsberger worked as an elementary school teacher for the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation for many years, teaching at several different preschools in the area before retiring. She was a member of the National Education Association, a longtime member of the Daughters of the King and St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Karen found joy in painting, cooking and gardening in her spare time.
Survivors include her son, Matthew T. Hunsberger of Columbus; granddaughters, Jennifer Lynn (Anthony) Knoll of Covington, Kentucky, Morgan Roy and Allie Lynn Knoll.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Amy Umbanhowar and son, Michael S. Hunsberger.
In keeping with the family's request, cremation will take place and no other services are planned at this time.
Inurnment will take place at Hope Moravian Cemetery next to her husband, Niles.

A lovely lady that will truly be missed by her friends and family. Alot of good memories with Uncle Niles and aunt Karen. Prayers for the Hunsbergers.
