She was born on Saturday, November 11, 1961, in Springfield, Missouri, to Margie and Jesse Knight. Karen was united in marriage to Steve Letterman, and together they shared 41 years of marriage. She was the loving mother of a son and daughter, and grandmother of one. She enjoyed reading and spending time camping at the lake, as well as spending time with her family and grandson.
She is survived by her husband, Steve, her children, Christopher Letterman, and Stacy (and Anthony) Carriker, grandson Dean Carriker, her brothers Randy (and Joyce) Knight, and Jim Knight, and sister Janice Thomas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Knight and Margie (Knight) Snider, Gene Snider, brother Jessie D (and Beverly) Knight, and sister Joyce Pazdera.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 P.M. Thursday, October 16, 2025 at Klingner Cope Chapel Rivermonte. Funeral Service will be at 10 A.M. Friday, October 17, 2025 at the funeral home. Graveside service will be at 1 P.M. Friday, October 17, 2025 in the Rock Prairie Cemetery, Pleasant Hope, MO.
