Karen Ludwig

Karen A. Ludwig, age 62, of rural Chilton, passed away on Saturday June 2, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on March 27, 1950 at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan, daughter of the late Lincoln & Marion (Hanke) Sohn. She married Michael W. Ludwig on July 22, 1967 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Chilton. She farmed with her husband in the Town of Stockbridge. Karen had worked for Laun Furniture in Kiel, was a waitress at Hiawatha Bar, did home cleaning in the Stockbridge and Chilton area, worked for Heritage Orchard, the Kloten Oasis, Almost Johnny's in Sherwood and for Central Garage in both Potter and Chilton. She also loved her Pomeranian puppies, which she bred and sold throughout the area. She enjoyed her hobbies of gardening, cooking, crafts and dancing; but her greatest love was socializing with family and friends. Survivors include her husband Michael; 4 children, Terry M. (April) Ludwig, Tammy A. Ludwig, Joie Lynn Ludwig and Jason M. Ludwig; 9 grandchildren, Jeremy (Kayla) Ludwig, Mathew, Tiffany & Dakota Ludwig, Pamela Pezewski, Nathan Lisowe, Chase, Dustin & Tara Ludwig; 6 great grandchildren, Mia, Riley, Grey, Olive, Kaylie, Hunter and 2 more on the way. She is also survived by her brothers, Wayne (Sheri) Sohn, Ricky (Kim) Sohn, and Daniel (Mary) Sohn. She was preceded in death by her parents Lincoln & Marion Sohn. Funeral services will be at 11 AM on Friday June 8, 2012 at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday June 7, 2012 from 4 PM to 7 PM, and again on Friday from 9:30 AM until the time of services.
