With profound sadness and deep gratitude for a life beautifully loved in serving her family, we announce the passing of Karen Susann Mallett, a woman whose kindness, grace, and unwavering faith touched all who had the privilege of knowing her. Karen Susann Mallett passed away on October 13, 2025, peacefully at the age of 74.
Karen was a beacon of compassion, always extending her heart and hands to those in need. Her generosity knew no bounds, and her thoughtful spirit was a source of comfort and strength to many. She believed deeply in the power of empathy and dedicating herself to advocating for those less fortunate. Her voice was a source of hope, her actions a testament to her belief that no one should suffer alone.
A lover of laughter, Karen often said, "Laughter is the best medicine", and she lived by that truth. Her sense of humor was infectious and her joy radiant. She reminded us that healing often begins with a smile, and that grace can be found in the simplest acts of kindness.
She cherished the beauty of nature, the farm she grew up on, quiet woods filled with beautiful trees, or tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. Karen found peace and purpose in the rhythms of the earth. Her reverence for creation was rooted in her faith, and she saw in nature a reflection of divine grace. Karen's faith was the cornerstone of her life. It guided her, sustained her, and inspired those around her. She walked through life with quiet dignity, always seeking to uplift others, and leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering belief in the goodness of humanity.
Karen was born in Cambridge, Ohio to the late George and Margaret Chicwak on December 4, 1950. She graduated in 1968 from Caldwell High School majoring in business and was awarded the Business & Professional degree. She married Lynn Alex Mallett on February 13, 1971, in Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Belle Valley, Ohio. Karen was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church. She had a career as a medical secretary and enjoyed serving her community.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Lynn Mallett and her three daughters Sherry Trenner and her children and grandson Justine (Jacob) McClaskie and their son Garrett, and Kara Trenner. Her daughter Janay (Mark) Eisenmenger and her son Samir Rajani and stepsons Gunner (Alex) Eisenmenger and Shaun (Victoria) Eisenmenger and her daughter Renee Mallett. She is survived by sister Shirley (George) Spence and sister Regina (Christopher) Crock, and sister-in-law Ruth Chicwak, her brother James Chicwak passed in 2008. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews and cousins. She loved her beloved dog Brady, slept next to her on the floor.
