Mrs. Glenda Karen (Franklin) Martin, earned her Heavenly reward on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at the age 66. She was a faithful member of the House of Prayer and Praise for over 33, years. During that time, she served as church secretary, decorator, and custodian for many years and performed those duties in an outstanding way. Karen had an anointed voice for singing that brought many blessings to God's people. Karen enjoyed fellowshipping with other churches, loved her family and church dearly, and always put the Lord first in every way. She was an inspiration and blessing to all who she came into contact with. She is preceded in death by her Husband, Rev. Carl W. Martin; Parents, Rev. Glenn W. Franklin and Rev. Mary Ellen Franklin; Grandparents, Garlend and Rev. Beulah Franklin, and W.S and Flossie McCullah; Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Albert Martin and Evelyn Story Martin; Sisters-in-law, Patricia Franklin and Cindy Ellis, and two infant children.
Survivors: Brothers, Rev. Michael Franklin and wife, Sharon, and Rev. Bobby Franklin and late wife, Patricia; Sisters, Rev. Rachel Jones and husband, Wayne, and Sharon Ruth Shepherd and husband, Darrell; Brothers-in-law, Tony Martin and wife, Sue, and Craig Martin and wife, Leisha; Nieces and Nephews; Amanda Terry and husband, Chris, Michael C. Franklin and wife, Shanna, Aaron West and Fiance, Haley Collins, Amber Moore and husband, Travis, Audie Ellis wife, Betsy, and Crystal Gibson; Great-Nieces and Great-Nephews; Raegan Hatfield, Braelynn Skye Franklin, Garrison Sampsel, Jaxton Sampsel, Michael David Franklin, Oaklynn Grace West, Ryker Glenn West, Lily Jane Moore, Braylen Moore, Declon Moore, and numerous other nieces and nephews, and a host of extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 17, 2025 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at Walters Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, 10:00 AM at the House of Prayer and Praise (691 Pleasant Ridge Road, LaFollette, TN 37766) with Rev. Mike Franklin, Rev Bobby Franklin, Rev. Jerry Foster, and Rev. Mikie Franklin officiating. Interment will follow at Powell Valley Cemetery. Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of Mrs. Glenda Karen (Franklin) Martin.
